Certificate of Fitness issued to: Tshiuetin Rail Transportation Inc.

by the Canadian Transportation Agency (Agency) pursuant to subsection 92(1) of the Canada Transportation Act, SC 1996, c 10 (CTA), which permits Tshiuetin Rail Transportation Inc. (Tshiuetin) to operate a railway for the proposed freight and passenger rail operations between Emeril, Newfoundland and Labrador (mileage 225.3), and Schefferville, Quebec (mileage 359.2), of the Menihek Subdivision.

As per Schedule IV of the CTA, Tshiuetin is authorized to operate a railway, which includes the carriage, per calendar year, of:

• less than 40,000 tonnes of other dangerous goods, other than crude oil or toxic inhalation hazard (TIH) materials, as defined in section 2 of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act, 1992, SC 1992, c 34.

Tshiuetin cannot carry crude oil or TIH materials until it establishes to the Agency’s satisfaction that it meets the related statutory insurance requirements.
